Hi everyone, I don't own a Doge yet but after seeing the Durango Hellcat video I'm seriously
looking into getting a Durango SRT.

I went to a local dealer and worked out a price for a Durango RT but I probably won't be satisfied
unless I get the SRT. So, I joined to learn what I can here about the Durango.

Welcome...Throw caution to the wind..mortgage the house again..rob a few 7 elevens..spend the kids college fund..(higher learning is over rated..) do what it takes..but get that HC Durango....now some on here will disagree with me...what do they know..(they aint that smart)..but this crew does know alot about the whole SRT thing...did I say welcome

Welcome to the club! We have a DSRT in the family and absolutely love it. Hands down best suv imo

If you can afford an RT from your local dealer, you can afford an SRT from somewhere else.
Maybe even a Durango Hellcat if you order it in Utah.

You might as well save money and time and get the SRT now.
You will eventually.
I started with the R/T, a year later went to the Scat, a year later went to a Hellcat, then eventually to a 19 Hellcat.

I went to Larry Miller on Lomas & Wyoming. I haven't made it to the west side yet.

I don't remember for sure if it was Melloy, but this morning I called a few dealers to get a price on an ordered car. I know it wasn't LHM, so most likely it was Melloy. Their price was 10K over MSRP.

Got a call back from my out of state go-to dealer, and we'd pay about 8K below MSRP instead.
Guess where the order will be placed? Yep, not ABQ.

Hard to say, I live on the east side and used to always go to Larry Miller, developed a good relationship with a service guy there, then last year he switched over to Melloy so I switched there. Similar drive really as Paseo is so quick. I've heard about people with good and bad experiences at both, but I've been happy at both. I will stand by what I said earlier about Melloy being more willing to deal...

Getting any dealer to go way below sticker on a Hellcat Durango is a surprise to me as they are limited and mostly pre-sold. I hope you do in fact get that deal and get that Durango @ALBPM - good luck!

FWIW, Melloy gave me MSRP on one of the very first Scat Packs in the area, I got $14k off sticker on my Redeye, and back in 2017 they offered me a Demon at MSRP and also recently one of their first TRX's at MSRP if I wanted one. Sadly I am not rich LOL

Yes, it definitely does simplify things when buying through a dealer that knows me, but at least three of out the recent purchases have been "cold call" ones from other dealers. All out of state.

But I'm too stupid to learn, so I still start by calling ABQ and Santa Fe dealers. And they still won't give me a price over the phone, or are very hesitant to. When I ask why the price would be any different if I wasted a day driving there and back, they don't really have an answer.
Lithia in Santa Fe is much better, and have been quite close on price a couple of times, but not close enough.

Besides, I like helping the little guy (Classic Motors is a very small dealership) instead of some large chain.
