- 19 Challenger Hellcat Redeye 19 Charger Hellcat
The Hellcat Motor for me personally has been a ICE Age gift from the Engine Gods. I mean I can still remember the Summer of 2014 and seeing the reveal for the Hellcat thinking holly crap 707HP factory made and ready😍. I knew as soon as I saw the Challenger Hellcat I had to have one or maybe two😁. And wow we are now eclipsing seven years this coming summer from the reveal. The engine has created more than anyone expected from the beginnings since a Demon motor came to be as well. And then the Charger was announced which all here know she was the fastest of them all being 4 doors made her an aerodynamic machine. Then came the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk which is the baddest ass suv bang for buck in the market. The Ram TRX is now here and the Durango Hellcat which is replacing the Trackhawk. The title of the thread is about the future of the now legendary Hellcat motor. Do we have another 2-3 model years left of the Hellcat motor or maybe more? What’s the next vehicle they would stuff the Hellcat motor in? The Peugeot merger with FCA will possibly change the longevity of the Hellcat Motor since the CEO lad for Peugeot will be running the companies. And his goal of the merger is to be an electric car company which needs incredible R&D monies to progress with the Green Agenda mandates of the world. General Motors has already stated the ICE age days are going away and its future is all electric. The continued progression for alternative energy for transportation will be the focal point by major board members and shareholders. Which in turn puts pressure on development and marketing to adapt and move on from old technology. The Governments of the world are continuing to push for the extinction of ICE which in turn forces the manufactures to change. IMO I feel the 10 year run for the Hellcat motor is solid being we have another 3 model years thru 2025. The other models to have the Hellcat Motor could.be possibly in the new redesign Grand Cherokee, Ram Dakota, Ram Trucks snd that would be it and a big if at that. The Hellcat Motor will go down in the Ice Age books as the last great Dinosaur only to be seen by the true ICE Age lovers as the last gas engine that made you smile.
