At any one given time, I count 20+ tesla's zipping around town. They seem to be literally everywhere. Dirty, neglected, trashed inside. Most often they are just sitting at the local charging station, owner near by on his cellphone patiently waiting to go another 200 miles..lol
Fast or not, expensive or not, no one really cares about them it seems, especially their owners.
However, not a single time that we have taken the cat out, have we failed to have people oggle & ahh all over it, take pics, thumbs up, wave, etc. I cant even get gas most times without inducing a pow wow around the car.
The cat is a visceral & auditory experience on steroids. Its not just about power & speed (which for me it has more than enough), its the presence, the style, the now easily recognized fender badges thanks to Dodges off the charts marketing (when's the last time we saw a tesla commercial?) and the amazing sounds that come from out back & under hood when she is chewing up pavement at an exceptional rate (by any standard)...
Sorry but no tesla or in this post case, an Ev camaro, will ever replace that.
Fast or not, the Ev's by comparision, are IMO, well, kinda boring.
