If your gonna sell her down the road spend the few extra bucks for the tow package. I mean no way you pass that up and sorry but the Durango is a Durango in my eyes the Tow Package won’t make a difference In aesthetics.

I think that thing will pull fine w/out the tow package. Hell, we put an aftermarket hitch on our old v6 durango and it pulled our boat great with just awd. The SRTs have a tow drive mode
What I have learned over the years it’s always better to have than not have. None of us here can predict the future and damn then something happens and a change up of lifestyle. Just for me personally I would use her to tow my Motorcycle Trailer and or say I get some jet Skis. Then maybe I buy a boat that’s not huge but towable. And or someone needs your help and you help them move and rent a trailer....I mean it’s unlimited in my eyes and to the OP I get it and congrats on what’s going to be a bad ass smoking SUV.
The thing with the tow package...is it includes the harness front to rear for the integrated brake controller which is a complete PITA to add OEM...if...and IF you even can...because more than one TH owner found out the hard way.
The hitch is NBD. I'm installing one on my Charger HC this weekend. LOL.
