Why are my tpms measuring this way?

My tire pressure is set with a nice gauge so the pressures are accurate compared to the tpms, the problem is the lf and lr are wrong. Naturally the lower psi is in the rear. Ideas?

Better than mine right now. Three of four are about 29-30 it says, and opens up with “service the TPMS” message. No matter I trick it all the time by changing the wheels and tires with different sensors to keep it on its toes. Have no idea, why yours is wrong also, maybe Mopar is broadcasting stupid data to our cars. It started that last weekend and also I had to re-program in one of my widget/gauges on the new software also, because it suddenly went stupid there also and lost one of the four gauges for the first time in nearly two years.

Two of us have bad data on two very different year Hellcats.

Do they 'normalize' after driving at least a few blocks or do they stay low all the time ? The sensors do go bad over time & need to be replaced.

Mine has never had a problem ever until now. I’ll check the actual tire pressures tonight and report back. Maybe mine are low, and when it sees three of four pressures off it thinks it can’t be possible that anyone would do such a thing? I know I have started track days at less than 30 psi on all four and never had it say “service”. Hell it sits in the garage, it was not struck with lightning or something. Maybe life is too good for it?

And yes, usually in a few minutes it reads the updated wheels/tires with no problems.

My left And right were wrong on my 16 and I also believe them to be wrong on my 19 (L is R & vice versa)
Maybe some drunk at the factory.

They are suppose to relearn every time you drive the car, otherwise when you rotated the tires or put new ones on they'd continually be jacked !
I believe the dealers have a tool that forces the BCM to refresh the link to each wheel with the L/R F/R display.

I've heard that.
Never did on my 16.
Hasn't yet on my 19 (which does have aftermarket wheels)

On mine, after the tech waves his magic wand they read in the correct position. Later they change positions again, until the tech does it again.

I dont care about that, I run them purposely that low. Its the position I questioned.

I run my rears on 30 all year round with no issues. Never had a issue with either car so far.

Came across something I'd never seen before today, while shopping for 'Hawk sensors (which may well be the same as for the Challenger).

Anyway, it said that the vehicle should sit for 20 minutes before driving, and the relearn starts.
That could explain a few people's issues, I'd think.

My 16 NEVER did this until about a week ago and the rears where all of a sudden on one side, then the other , then on the front, for the last 2 days on the rear where they belong. I’ve been wondering WTF my self about this this week. A Uconnect update possibly?? I didn’t ask for or authorize one but I’m bugged on about every start up that I need to join Uconnect. I with I could just turn that CRAP off. What about that @DodgeCares??

Id even k wtf that Uconnect is anyway, but yes, getting rid of it all and loosing a few pounds would be far better as far as I'm concerned.

You can lower the set pressure with AlfaOBD, maybe even eliminate the TPMS altogether.

Good info!! You think a dealer would be willing to disable it, or would they refuse because of warranty? Guess it won't hurt to ask...

I don't mind seeing what the pressures are....but I don't need an alarm staying on the dash when its at 27 psi and it won't clear even while I'm driving it and it raises to 30. Only way I've seen to clear it is filling it all the way back up to 32 and driving it around. So long as the tires are between 28-32 PSI there shouldn't be any alarms....
