I have been told I'm the king of sleepers and you can rock the badges. Had a daily '87 Mustang with 5.0 badges (was a 306) that looked stock and ran low 9's full exhaust and interior. This was over 10 years ago. Now if the 5.0 were missing people would thing I'm hiding something

True, the exhaust thing was a joke.

I mean I see no reason to hide what you got, a lot of this debadging originated from germany where larger engines are frowned upon. So i.e you could have an e55 amg (s/c 5.5L v8) or an e63 amg (6.3L v8) an m5 (5.0L v10) or some other M/Amg/S car and people wouldn't know without the badges on the car unless ur an enthuasist.

Practically it's easier to clean without badges but there's no other real positive benefits that can't be argued.

At the end of the day it's your car and you get to choose how it's presented.

This was my first muscle car, started out with an eclipse gsx and modded it (350 hp) then moved to a supra and modded it (500 hp), then finally moved up to the big boy charger hc.

I really enjoy the hellcats, it will be up to fca if they can continue this and innovate a bit.

My parents have owned amg's, M cars, corvette's ferrari, Lamborghini, etc etc

So I'm a fan of anything that goes fast.

Before the hellcat I would say no way, but detroit muscle just has that nasty angry persona that other car manufacturers can't replicate.

The charger hc by far gets more eyes than any of those M or AMG cars, maybe not as much as a ferrari or lamborghini but I think there's a point when the attention is too much.

Hellcat is definitely my favorite platform of the 2010s, best bang for buck, can fit in with normal cars but still stand out and the ability to mod the car for high hp numbers is insane.

I wish. For whatever reason, my 'Cat has been quite loud since day one. I like the sound, but it's not exactly stealthy.
My girlfriend's Redeye is much quieter, and the 'Hawk is very sedate...until you step on it.

Of the three, the 'Hawk is definitely the best sleeper. A chubby little taxi, void of badges, and quiet. Nobody expects anything from that one.

Speaking of foreign cars, my best sleeper was an MGB that looked completely stock, except for tires and wheels. It had been on a diet, so with a 310 hp aluminum V8 moving 2,000 lbs. it ran really well.

But while its power to weight ratio was better than that of my girlfriend's 911 Turbo S, there was no way I could out-shift her PDK.

2Poc,, still want that beer?? Hot or cols?? Hot car I have ever had thru the 79s and 80s was a twin turbo supra. I heard they started makin em again. Last one I got into was me driving a sleeper LT4 vette with out any emblems or stupid strile down the middle. No show. Had it tuned port polished larger intake, waste of $$, and a few other critters. White beige interior and had to find it in Ga on show room floor. 6 speed and damn fast,, I thought till I tangled with this supra. Had my ass handed me on a vettes silver platter. Ugly.

The new supra? You mean the bmw supra? It's basically a bmw z4 with the supra badge. God damn toyota ruined that name, could have been something great.

Yeah mine had 500 hp but you can easily go 1200+ with the right mods + $$$🤑🤑, gotta have a shit ton of money for that car, they are so damn fast at 500 hp,I can't imagine 1500 hp or 2000 hp like some of those fkers got in Texas.

I drove a 1200hp supra and a 1400 hp gtr, man those cars will put the fear of god in you when you hit the accelerator, those are some god damn animals out on the road.
