Well, just got a call today... they need another day to drive it around to make sure it will pass emissions testing. Its raining today so wont drive it.... sounds like BS to me.

See my above post and you'll fully realize why you are 100% CORRECT.

Sorry to have read a story like that. These are much more than just cars to us. How can someone be so ignorant? I would have flipped out. The cops would have been called. Yeah, I'm gonna bring my 3900 mile HC in for an emissions recall. BS, they'll NEVER see my car.

V86 done, today.

No adverse effects.

Throttle seems more responsive... like it did before the cruise control flash.

Sounds good on start up. Sounds good on shut down.

Taking it to work, tomorrow. Will know more, then.

Slight exhaust rattle, from the driver side. That will HAVE to be addressed. Obviously, they didn't properly align, after installation.

Performance wise... so far, so good.

V86 was done yesterday.

Like Bob nothing bad to report.

Car sounds at least the same as before if not a touch louder.

I have a sight rattle on the right side. I will be checking it out tonight.

I did notice on the way home trying different modes the exhaust now crackles again without as much effort as before the V86.

So far so good, or as expected from the dealer. LOL
The mechanic that worked on my car is a friend.

Picked up my 300 from another dealer for an alternator recall and there is a grinding from the right front wheel now.
So it could be worse I guess.

Chargers have 2 sub frame connectors. The exhaust is rattling against the fore, when I encounter mildly bumpy road conditions.

I'm sure they can adjust it.

Car drives like it did, when I first bought it.

Torque and pedal response seemed to diminish, after the cruise control flash... forcing me to create a custom mode, where everything was set to Sport... just to get that performance back.

I noticed the difference immediately, after I picked up the car.

Drove to work in default and it performed like i would expect.

One thing i did notice... the cluster was left on the torque gauge. I turned on my performance pages, this morning and looks like another software snafu. Cluster units say: FT. LB. Performance Pages say: LB. FT. Same numerical output, compared to one another. Not sure if this is an existing issue, like the IAT screw up. I generally just run the PP.

The rattle is slight at idle. I will check it tonight.
Maybe splash shield not tight from the alignment?
Pretty sure I can take care of it myself without having to deal with the dealer.
I hate going to any service center.

Received my recall in the mail today. Dealer says FCA is limiting them to requesting ONE part per week, so this recall will take 3 weeks for them to collect the parts in inventory to do my car. And, there are two other cars in front of me awaiting service. Lovely.

It isn't excessive or obnoxious. I was just surprised when it did it on the way home.
My car hasn't done that in quite awhile.

That just doesn't make any sense, I call BS on the dealer !!!
I could see FCA saying they could only order 1 set per week or something like that if there was a shortage of the cats or O2 sensors. But if that were the case, why mass mail out the recall notice & just piss everyone off ?

When my friend did the fix in May even then the were limited in parts, guess supply didn't catch up. However I was a guniea pig and had a car that made noises for two months after... SMDH...

Seems to be an existing issue, my '16 is like that & I have not had the recall done. Not sure if it's always been that way or if it was introduced along with the (apparently never to be corrected) IAT issue.

Well I got to check out my car for the rattle.
I managed to move the heat shields over a little to stop the rattle.
I will have to loosen the front pipes and turn them a little to get the exhaust to sit a little more towards the driver side of the car.

So, we are seeing recall letters going out for all model years, including the Feb/Mar 2017 build period?
