2017 Charger HC (once upon a time)
#1
The guys that bought the wife's Thunderbird today called and said they'd give me the $53,000 I was using as the base price for the HC Charger, without laying eyes on it (they didn't see it when they were picking up the T-bird). If I remember correctly, I paid $63K at 0% in 2017. Admittedly, only 24500 miles on the car, but I think this is an okay deal. 16% depreciation over 4 years is not bad. But I am conflicted.

Hell of a deal in my eyes. Definitely something I'd consider. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think it is a pretty good deal.. I would only be conflicted if I were somewhat attached to the car or not going to be getting another HC

if they have the cash, take it. You've been wanting to sell, or at least considering it very seriously for some home projects or something you were wanting to do.

looks like now is your chance without a lot of hassle.

It’s not a matter of money if you are really ready to sell. It’s more a matter of just getting a reasonable price. That seems a very reasonable number.

Highly doubt youre ever getting a better offer with the miles. It’s time to decide if you really do want to sell it.

well......the car probably really has 5000 less road miles than the odometer shows........since I'm sure that many got clocked during that 200+ ft burnout

:ROFLMAO:

Looked on line at other prices (this guy is technically a dealer, so if he's willing to dump that without even looking at the car, there's more in it I'd say - but then again, I think he was impressed with state of the Thunderbird). Anyway, saw a 2020 Charger Redeye at a dealership for $124K, which to me is insane. That's twice what I paid for my car, and I don't think it's twice the car. I am concerned that I won't get back into something fast, and this is just a good car.

Some stupid dealers want adm for charger redeye, they won't get it unless from stupid people in Miami, or LA.

Also they are 21s 😁

He’s not getting $124k. He’s asking it. If I were you I’d do some quick research on reality deals out there. People are still getting below sticker plus the current $4k promotion.

I m pretty sure Brampton Assembly is closed for a few weeks
I heard a rumor that remaining 2021 orders for Canadians will be cancelled & in turn the used car prices are soaring
Someone called me Friday to sell mine & possibly send it to the US
2016 with 1500 miles ( the beer store is half a mile away )

I was at my dealer on Friday for an oil change and the lot was almost empty except for a lot of pickups. It is a sellers market right now for sure. While $53k is good for your car overall, especially considering what you paid for it and the fact that it is 4 years old, but it will probably sell at 55-57 on the open market from a dealer, if not more IMO.

Guess the real question is WHY WHY WHY are you even selling it unless its a financial issue😁. The Hellcat days are done and sure maybe another model year but for the most part I'd say bye bye Hellcat days.

If I were him tho selling the charger now and buying a widebody redeye when prices come back down to earth would be the best thing he could ever do.

Say he sells his Hellcat for 53k now, he could probably buy a used widebody for high 50s next year, or maybe a redeye widebody for 50s in a year and a half.

Totally worth the wait imo, buy low sell high. For cars it's like buy at the lowest price possible and sell for the highest price possible.
