I used to think seeing all the Mustangs wrecking at cars & coffee and leaving shows was funny (OK- I guess I still do a little)....but what is really going on with these Mustangs losing control?
-Is there something inherently wrong with the suspension or torque control tuning.....or just the stock tires they put on them? Seen too many of the same model car doing this to be a coincidence. They seem not to have any issues lighting up tires....
EDIT: I know any car can get out of shape with some power behind it....even seen a few vids of Challengers losing it....but nothing like Mustangs. I really do feel kinda bad for this guy....bad enough to lose control....then end up in a creek!?! -Bad day for sure.

I think the Mustang is such a sought after car and especially by young drivers this is part of the problem. And truly being I now own three of them they are fast cars. The 10speed auto new GT is just as fast as my GT500 to 60 MPH and yes they bust loose just like the Hellcats. A big problem is the performance tires on these cars which are summer rated tires which truly suck in cooler weather. I last weekend took my GT500 out for the first time in over a month and even questioned myself being it was a high 40 degree day. And yep sure enough out on the DC Beltway getting into her and passing another car and she busts loose and I just about clipped the car I was passing. Just incredible how close I came to crashing my car due to the road temps and tire temps. Inexperienced drivers is a huge problem today more than ever since you are seeing factory produced cars with 400 plus HP which just 10-15 years ago was a high bench mark for just a few cars. But now its just oh big deal you have 450HP - 550HP which as we know is damn good power to get yourself into trouble.

I hate to admit it but I put my 15 GT in the wall at the race track , it got out of control on the 2>3 shift (something had to be on the track) & I was dead on the brakes with both feet & it didn't matter , whipped around & right into the wall , totaled , I cried for days & it still hurts , bc I had a lot of blood sweat tears & money in it & I had it where I wanted it. I raced it at the track but didn't act stupid on the streets but it got me anyway .
The good thing is , that's why I have my HC now.

Having owned one, I can see inexperienced drivers losing control of one easier than the Hellcat. They come with the same Pirelli tires as our Cats and are notorious for being a tail happy car to drive.
One important thing I will point out is all these crashes have 1 thing in common & that's these little dudes have all turned off the TC ! Granted mine had the Roush SC, but if I left TC fully on and tried
to get even mildly exuberant with the go pedal, the TC would cut in abruptly and kill all the fun. With the TC even partially off, it was REAL easy to get that rear end sliding out from under you - much
easier than with the Cat.
Net is - I'd bet real $$ almost all these incidents are dudes showing off with TC turned off or way down !
