Thought the article might have been about my chicken wing eating record back in college, albeit, no. As it turns out it’s just about a Daytona. Great article, beautiful car, thanks Prange.

When these cars were new, dealers were removing the wings and nose kits because the cars weren't selling.

Now they're worth a freaking fortune.

If only I had a time machine...

The front end is ugly, the rear end is ugly and nothing in between.

There is $265,000 reasons not to consider this car.

Still kicking myself for passing on a pretty nice one back in '95 that was sitting on a lot for $30K & they were willing to negotiate. :(

What kind of grade would you give it?

Or maybe compared with the link, which at least at first glance is pretty nice.

I guess I might as well come out of closet, too. I don't like the look either.

Lol, where was this?
It was at a classic car place I drove by daily on the way to work in Largo, Fl. The business is no longer there.

What kind of grade would you give it?

Well definitely not 100% like the one in the story here. It looked pretty straight, no visible rust or crappy repair, it started & drove + the trunk was full of misc. parts, some NOS in the boxes. It was a Hemi Orange car, 440 Magnum, 4 speed pistol grip, bench seat. I'd say maybe a 70% car - since I couldn't really afford it at the timer never got a full inspection/road test done, could have been many ugly surprises once on the rack !!

They also had a rare Petty Blue one in the back, unfortunately it was a basket case 'Joe Dirt' car :(
