Last call jailbreak starter/electrical issue

Hey everyone,

This issue has been going on with my car for a year. I know of a few others dealing with the same issue. What happens is when I start the car and the starter stays running even after the car is running. Eventually it times out and quits. BUT on the dash screen it still says "Press brake and push button to start"... again, while the car IS STILL RUNNING. At that point I have to shut the car off and restart and it's fine. looking to see if anyone has had similar issues and found a resolution. I’ve been to all the dealers in my area and no one can solve it. And of course it’s intermittent so it make this even harder to pin down.

I had a very similar problem with my 2022 Challenger Redeye. I would hit the button to start, the starter would spin, but the motor would not turn over. This problem was intermittent, usually, when the motor was hot. I turned it off and the second time, no problem, the car started. After "discussions" with my "friendly" Dodge dealer, a new starter was installed. So far, no problem...
I don't know if this will help, but I wish you the best of luck, as this problem is a real pain. I was worried that my car would not start and left it in the garage until repaired.
