Do these dent pullers actually work?

I’ve got a small ding, maybe the size of a nickel, in the rocker panel on my truck. I was wondering if anyone had experience with these?

I've used one similar before with good results. Even used it on the wife's dryer that I stood on to clean an air duct. She never knew about the dent.
