Yeah. Pure toy. I've got a friend of a dealer friend trying to unload some new 2019's as the 2020's are here.

I'm with everyone else. Seen a few on the road. Read a little bit from Polaris official site and one Slingshot forum I found.

Not a fan. To me theyre ugly and dont seem to satisfy any real fun factors. Four popper stick does nothing for me. I have a Hellcat. If I want open air fun, a motorcycle is the ticket, not something you sit in and drive like a car. I have that already lol. Those things just seem like ugly toys for people who crave attention. Not trying to be a buzzkill but I just dont get it with those things.

The 2020 is apparently a lot nicer with a refresh versus the 19 models. And the auto is supposedly better than the manual. if you have a roof on them many states allow no helmet requirements which then it seems more fun versus having to wear a helmet.

Not a fan of anything with 3 wheels, its either 2 or 4 wheels for me. I had a Harley FLHTCU for many years...which I do miss. Scared the shit out of me the way people drive now a days so decided to move on to better 4wheel toys!

I've seen a few of these, the middle aged guys that drive these things usually blast rock music cruising around local malls for attention. They're SUPER popular in Hawaii too, so cringey.

Not a fan, if I had to choose though, I would take the T-rex over a Polaris.

Its like scooters and fatties.....fun to ride, you just dont want to be seen on one....

Yeah, but those are like $20K more than a fully loaded Slingshot Touring + there's the bankruptcy & reorg in '18/19.
Not sure I'd plunk down $50k for a vehicle from a place that was in the ditch less than a year ago !

I looked at T-rex and slingshot. Limited use except joyrides. If i was going to plunk down more cash for more fun, I'd simply trade in my HC for a Redeye.

agree ,took a spyder for a test drive one day took it back an said I`ll stick with 2 wheels. did not like it at all.

Seen a few around here, some up close. Not for me. Just a toy. Serves no purpose. Can't do anything better than either a car or a bike. For me - need open top, I'll buy another convertible. You don't get any of the fun of a bike in it. And I've had my share (though have not ridden in years).

Will say this though, I would consider one of the three wheel motorcycle variants like the Can-Am Spyder, etc.... Client has one and it's actually interesting. Not sure I'd prefer it to a bike in the old days, but I'm not a nut anymore and wouldn't be getting it for performance.

Spyder is completely different than a Slingshot. More of a motorcycle. You sit on it, not in it. You shift it same as a bike, not a car. Has handlebars, not a steering wheel. Completely different animal and actually great if youre an ex rider, elderly rider, first time rider, etc. Much more geared towards a motorcycle and gives you a very similar experience. The wife has one and as an avid rider/racer I can def tell you theyre very different than a Slingshot. Slingshot is just a little car with three wheels.
