2035 is only 13 years away. It is not viable, not in 13 years and not ever. Whoever proposed the ban should be responsible for laying out the complete year by year timeline and how they plan to execute it including the financial/funding plan. It’s just BS!

I haven't read the proposed bill, so I can't answer that. Usually though, it is just as stated, you just can't sell new ones. You can still buy elsewhere and bring in, or resell existing used gas powered vehicles.

Again, EV’s are not going to be affordable for most. For example, the least expensive Audi e-tron SUV is about $70,000 plus tags, taxes and any options. Initial cost is only part of the long term costs. There may be a few available in the $40K range but but everyone with one or two ICE vehicles today will not be able to afford to replace them by 2035, not to mention commercial vehicles and public transportation. Why is any politician in CA or the whole USA buying into this?
