- 2017 Charger HC (once upon a time)
all of those cars were great, and favorites of mine, some of them I had not thought of in DECADES... My built up 66 Mustang was pretty stout in its day and I loved that. One that I was quite enamored of in the 80s was Gale Banks' series of Firebirds (and Camaros if you wanted to) with the twin turbo big blocks pushing ~800 - 1000 HP and easily 200+ mph. At that time, that was just mind boggling. LOL, the 900 HP in '78 from the twin-T 301 ci just floored me.
Another 80s animal that hooked me (for its looks more than anything else) was the Ferrari 288 GTO. Just a magnificent looking car. Excluding the Banks cars, the pedestrian 2017 Charger HC I have now smokes most of these oldies but goodies and does it with a heck of a lot more refinery on the inside and reliablity. We've come a long way. Though Banks is putting out "Revival" twin turbos and I'd love to have that engine to do with as I pleased.
