The rear is bolted to the cradle so it doesn't move no matter how you jack the car up

at 5:10 of Speedy's video you can see the big gap without the isolators. I do not see how you could bolt it up without it unless this isn't the one you have

@Hunter I installed mine originally on raceramps with no issues.
I have since removed and re-installed it for a diff oil change on a Quickjack with no issues. So I am with @vortecd on the it shouldn't change anything. The diff is bolted to the crossmember. So weather the car is on the ground or in the air it shouldn't change much if anything. Either way it is hanging with no weight on it. Any movement on the bushings would be minimal.

I do seem to remember someone having a similar issue awhile back. A thinner rubber piece may have been used....not sure.

Ask Mo-par! for his opinion. I don’t believe I installed the rubber in either of them. I remember I was like Hunter, it did not seem to fit for some reason, never bothered me. That new one has been on for two years and over 9,000 miles, so I don’t think it cares if the rubber is there or not.

There was something different starting in 2018, but it's been a while. I thought they had a note in the documentation.

Perhaps there are high welds on the crossmember? I know a guy with a RE who had the same issue but with the DIRS.

That was it in ‘19. I had to grind the welds on my Redeye, thanks for the reminder. Not a big deal at all, I even painted the grinds. The LX rear cradle has not changed in over 10 years. They may have hired a new welder that was all.

I feel a little better knowing that I am not the only one with the issue.
Was just worried on the "Metal to Metal" issue.
It is actually a very tight fit without the rubber spacer.

Picture would explain everything. There should be a big gap and you don't have one so something is off

How much is it off by? Can you try to squeeze the rubber down prior to bolting to the diff?

If not maybe find a place that can get you a custom piece of rubber to the dimensions you need.

Also you are fully tightening the bolts to the diff prior to installing the the bolts to the cradle are you?

That one looks like one of the 1st one they made. Speedy also has this video which is closer to yours. Myself, I would spend the money and get one of the never versions

Agreed, plus that ds is a pita. I needed a crows foot. Proper torque was a guesstimate at best. DIRS much easier install.

Not the first ones. They had another flat piece that came down on the driver side.
That looks like the second version. I'm still using the one I got from the first batch.

@Hunter do you have any gap at all?
I may have some 1/16 or 1/8 rubber from mats we used to put under giant rolls of paper in the trailers to keep them from sliding. If you think it can help I could send you a piece. I would just have to find it. LOL
